The Community Development and Research Organization (CDRO) is a dynamic, Afghan-led non-profit organization committed to empowering communities across Afghanistan, with a strong emphasis on supporting women and children. Founded and managed by a team of highly qualified professionals, CDRO is guided by a board of directors holding advanced degrees from prestigious national and international institutions.
Several board members and technical advisors bring specialized expertise in areas such as Conflict and Coexistence and Sustainable International Development, earned from leading universities in the United States. This academic foundation is complemented by decades of practical experience working in humanitarian crises and conflict-affected environments.
CDRO champions human rights, gender equality, and grassroots development, striving to create sustainable and inclusive change. As a proud member of the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development (ACBAR), CDRO adheres to national and international standards in humanitarian and development programming. The organization is officially registered with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Afghanistan, reinforcing its legitimacy and commitment to transparency and accountability.
