About us
CDRO introduction
The Community Development and Research Organization (CDRO) is an Afghan-owned, women-focused, not-for-profit organization, committed to promoting human rights, with a particular emphasis on the rights of women and children.
CDRO is governed by a highly qualified Board of Directors and managed by an experienced leadership team. Approximately 90% of the Board members and senior management staff hold master’s degrees from prestigious national and international institutions. Several Board members and technical advisors possess advanced degrees in fields such as Conflict and Coexistence Studies and Sustainable International Development from leading universities in the United States.
With decades of collective experience in humanitarian response and working in conflict-affected settings, the CDRO team brings a deep understanding and practical expertise to its programs.
CDRO is a proud member of the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development (ACBAR) and is officially registered with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Afghanistan.
