CDRO stands for Community Development and Research Organization. It is a national, non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering Afghan communities through inclusive, sustainable, and evidence-based development initiatives.
CDRO was founded in 2018. Since then, it has become a trusted partner in implementing community-based programs across various sectors including livelihoods, youth reintegration, climate resilience, and public health.
CDRO implements projects across multiple provinces of Afghanistan, including:

Projects are supported through donor funding, technical partnerships, and community-based co-financing.
CDRO integrates gender equity across all projects, with at least 50% female participation in training programs, community engagement, and staffing. All interventions are designed to be inclusive and culturally sensitive.
